PROGRAMS AND SERVICES FOR STUDENTS THAT HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED
If your child is suspended from school, request a complete
list of programs, services or courses offered by the School Board to students
that have been suspended. Every school board is required to provide at
least one program for suspended pupils and at least one for expelled pupils.
Pupils remain students of the board while attending such programs.
“What should I do if there is a problem?”
If there is a problem, you should try to resolve the issue
by talking to the Principal of the school, and to your child’s classroom
teacher(s).
If the problem cannot be resolved by talking to the Principal,
you can write a letter of concern to the Superintendent of Education at
your School Board, who is responsible for the schools in your area.
